PASSIVE INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE; USE OF COOKIES

As you navigate around this Site, certain information can be passively collected (that is, gathered without you actively providing the information), using various technologies. We passively collect and use information in a variety of ways, including:

  • Through your browser and Device: Certain information is collected by most browsers, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system version, and Internet browser type and version. We collect Device-specific information (such as your hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information including phone number). We may associate your device identifiers or phone number with your Chromaflo Technologies account.
  • IP Address: Your IP Address is a number that is automatically assigned to the computer you are using by your Internet Service Provider.
  • An IP Address is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user visits this Site, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) that were visited. Collecting IP Addresses is standard practice on the Internet and is done automatically by many web sites.  We use IP Addresses for purposes such as calculating Site usage levels, helping diagnose server problems, and administering this Site.
  • Cookies: The Site may use “cookies” to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize Chromaflo Technologies’ pages, or register with the Site, a cookie helps Chromaflo Technologies to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your personal information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the Site, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the Chromaflo Technologies features that you customized. You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Chromaflo Technologies services or web sites you visit.
  • Web Beacons: Chromaflo Technologies web pages may contain electronic images known as web beacons – sometimes called single-pixel gifs – that allow Chromaflo Technologies to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. Web beacons are not used to access your personally identifiable information on the Site; they are a technique we use to compile aggregated statistics about Site usage. Web beacons collect only a limited set of information including a cookie number, time and date of a page view, and a description of the page on which the web beacon resides. Chromaflo Technologies web pages may also contain web beacons placed there by our advertising partners, to help Chromaflo Technologies determine the effectiveness of our Internet advertising campaigns.
  • Do Not Track Requests: Your selection of the “Do Not Track” option provided by your browser may not have any effect on our collection of cookie information for analytic and internal purposes. The only way to completely opt out of the collection of any information through cookies or other tracking technology is to actively manage the settings on your browser or Device to delete and disable cookies and other tracking/recording tools. Please note, depending on your type of Device or browser, it may not be possible to delete or disable all tracking mechanisms on your Device.

USE OF THIRD PARTY AD NETWORKS

The majority of the online banner advertisements you see on the Site are displayed by Chromaflo Technologies. In addition, Chromaflo Technologies may also allow other companies, called third-party ad servers or ad networks, to display advertisements on the Site. To do this, ad networks place a persistent cookie on your computer. Doing this allows the ad network to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad networks may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. Chromaflo Technologies does not have access to or control of the cookies that may be placed by the third-party ad servers or ad networks. If you want to prevent one of these third-party companies from sending and reading cookies on your computer, you will need to visit each ad network’s web site individually and request that you be removed from its system.
